ZR Rattling sound on start up

Hi all, have a ZR 120+. Upon start up, especially when cold,it sometime sounds like there is a sticking tappet which disappears as the oil gets round.
Well, last couple of days it dosen`t disappear for quite sometime and seems quite a loud ticking noise(bit like a sowing machine)and takes an age before it goes quite. Car drives fine, and once the noise goes it dosen`t come back.
Its due in for a service next week, so will get them to have a look, but any ideas what it is and whether it is adviseable to keep driving it.
