Hi,
Quick question - I'm thinking of buying a TF for the missus - she's not very good with lifting things(!), how easy is the hood to get up and down?
Cheers,
Andy
Takes about 10 seconds....easy peasy...just make sure that you either unzip the plastic window and lay it flat or make sure it doesn't crease when you drop it otherwise it will eventually split..Quick question - I'm thinking of buying a TF for the missus - she's not very good with lifting things(!), how easy is the hood to get up and down?

Very easy and quick if your arms are long enough - I can whip mine up or down[1] much more quickly[2] than any electric roof I've seen and with very little extra effort. My wife however can't reach over her shoulder far enough to do it without getting out of the car, she doesn't find it physically demanding but obviously the need to remove belt, get out, furl/unfurl hood, get back in, put belt back on, etc, etc makes it significantly slower for her than it is for me.Quick question - I'm thinking of buying a TF for the missus - she's not very good with lifting things(!), how easy is the hood to get up and down?
[1] F'naar!
[2] Easily within any traffic light cycle I've yet come across.

Mrs Lockhouse here!
Thanks for your replies, I bought a low mileage Black 2004 MG TF in beautiful condition yesterday and am delighted with my husbands purchase!! He has yet to see it but I am sure he will be thrilled when he gets home at the end of the week!!!!
The roof is way easier than I ever imagined, having owned a 1979 Midget in the early eighties I guess things have moved on somewhat!
I look forward to touching base with fellow owners here in the future.
