I thought they had pushed the K as far as they could (and perhaps a little beyond) in terms of capacity? Certainly stroking it any more would seem unwise, and there's not a lot of meat left to bore out in the liners. Perhaps an entirely new block casting is being made.

The current K has 1.8L.
For sure you can squeez out some more power from an 2.0 Liter version.

I would love to see a small (maybe 2.5L) 6 Zylinder Engine in an MG'F one day ... would put the performance to one level with the handling.
