MGTF Door locks

The naext problem I have is with the door locks on my 2004 TF 135.
It has remote central locking which work fine, the problem comes if someone locks the door with the button on the door itself on the inside.
Once the door is locked it will not unlock with the door button or the door handle - it is the same with both doors.

Does anyone have any ideas? is this a common fault?

Had a similar problem with our ZR, once the door was shut there was no way it could be opened from inside the car or outside for that matter - Ended up getting a new lock - it was a real pain getting the old one off - had to virtually destroy it working from inside the car with the door panel partially removed, once the door finally opened the replacement was straight forward. Apperently they have a weak mechanism with small plastic levers etc; one snapped rendering the lock - Locked
You may have a similar problem - although it was only the drivers door on ours - the most used I guess.
