ZR 160 - Brake upgrade advice (ZT 190 setup)
Discussion
I have recently felt quite a large amount of brake fade (loss of pressure/cooking smell from the pads) after prolonged hard use.
Looking into upgrades, and this got me wondering if a ZT190 setup would fit the ZR? or even if they would much of a difference over a quality pad/grooved disc setup?
Thanks for any advice.

I've rallied using these brakes when I first put a ZR rally car together.
I've been pictured with the fronts brakes glowing bright orange and they never failed. You really don't need to go to the expense and hassle of ugrading the dics and calipers. However you will find a great improvment in a pad change. Something like Mintex 1166 on the front and maybe 1155 on the rear. These aren't too hard that they won't work from cold and also won't wear discs much either.
Hope this helps.

Not to mention the fact that a ZT uses a 5 stud patern compared to the ZR's 4 stud. I have a ZS180 that uses exactly the same front brakes as the ZR160 and i've never encountered any issues with them, in a heavier car than a ZR160. Recently upgraded to the Mintex pads mentioned in the post above and the stopping power is incredible.
