MGC Parts wanted.
Discussion
Hello all,
Old "C" was MOT'd yesterday, and a need a few little items.
1. Sttering wheel has cracked - so need a new one. On the MGC these are wired type same as the MGB but with a leather cover. I know there was a chap selling these for £100 a few years back, but cant find him. I do want to keep to original.
2. Brake master servo is leaking slightly. so need a replacement. Not good as these are £220. Is it work buying the repair kit?
3. Bushes on the front suspension, I have managed to get the rubber tops, but its been suggested I do the bottoms.
4. Brakes - I like the idea of some nice big calipers and disks, is there a conversion for these?
Many thanks in advance.

The servo is a common c fault, let me guess it's blowing smoke out of the exhaust?
I'd try a seal kit, usually solves the issues, there was solution to this problem cheaply using a servo off a different car, I just can't recall the "cheat".
If you do get a new wheel I'd like to buy your old one off you please, I have a use for a scrap C wheel.
Bushes shouldn't be an issue to order from B hive.
If you can be bothered to scrap yard hunt you may be able to build a nice brake set up for not a lot, most people don't think outside the box with modifications. I don't know any commercial kits but there may be some.

Got one!! But alas some sad news- No C steering wheels about, so hacked mine up with some strange industrial goop fom whre I work. Hence no spare wheel sorry. Leather re attached and looks fine. However green stuff (Northants) do make pads for the Band C with a break in compound (got some from MG shop in Cambs), so brakes are good.
Still would like to find the man that made new C steering wheels - Have a 5ft long shelf of old motor mags to get through to find him...
