What did I see?

Yesterday, driving up to Skipton, I saw what I thought was an MG B, but then I realised it was on a 90's P plate. It was dark green, maybe BRG. It was a convertible, and was definately an MG. Anyone know what it was? My MG knowledge isn't too sharp.
