Have an MGB with front discs and rear drums, replaced the rear drum cylinders back in december and the brakes were working fine. The car has been stood for 4 months and now the brakes feel all wooden, the car slows but the pedal feel hard/solid. Any ideas why it has gone like this.

Servo leak maybe?

Calipers seized up? Used to happen on mine whenever I left it standing for a while (tried not to!) Take the calipers off and press the pedal down (carefully if it's on stands) and then push / gently hammer the pistons back in with a bit of copper ease. I've got an old u shaped screw clamp that fits in the middle of the piston, bought for about 3 quid which does the job nicely.

It must be easier just to renew the caliperswink

It could be a master cylinder problem too, but I suspect servo leak.
