Toying with buying an MGF to use as an everyday car but i know nothing about these cars and wondered if they were prone to any particular problems or faults or what things i should look for when buying privately.
Also what are they like for doing basic engine maintenance, ie plug changes etc being a mid engine car.
I currently have a porsche boxster and engine access is pretty difficult roadside so want to avoid any repeats of that. Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

We sell a fair few of them and the main fault with them seems to be Head Gasket Failure.Expensive job and they seem to be prone to it, sometimes twice in a year.

With respect,if you're doing the same car twice a year then maybe your service department has an issue.....
