1275 midget engine oil passing scrole seal into bell housing any tips or advise would be welcome please

Pull engine, backplate off, sump off, replace oil seal. Should do it in a day if you start early.

No oil seal there! They don’t have them on A series inline engine.

I thought they had a string type seal behind the scroll?

It depends what year engine! I'm certain all of them have a seal in the main bearing cap though.

the mini had one but the Morris 1000 etc don’t.

Well in that case if an inordinately large amount is seeping past then your only option is to line bore the later rear cap to fit your engine.
