I have a set of Jubilee alloys, and also a set of LE alloys, both in good condition but need re-painting black/silver. Both designs are quite complicated to paint, with a black background & silver detail on the highlights. I can't imagine I can get a decent finish with a brush, and they're just too complicated to mask with tape. I know you can get masking kits for Rostyles from Moss, but I've not seen anything for these wheels. Any suggestions on how to do it, or somewhere that might paint them without charging nearly as much as they are worth?

The Jubilee wheels are the hardest as they are composite wheels, however in both cases you spray or brush paint then with wet and dry polish up the high spots.

So polish the high spots back to bare alloy? And then clear lacquer the whole wheel?

I wouldn't laquer it no.

Won't the bare alloy oxidise horribly in no time without protection?

Bit of polish soon brings it up though. If you laquer it then a year down the road when it has chipped and cracked you will have horrible white spider webs creeping under it.
