On my daily internet travels I came across this:

http://www.wyleshardy.com/details_single.asp?aucti...

Although the styling was controversial in a real love or hate sort of way, and they sold very few, I always loved the MG SV. I thought it was a fantastic looking car.

This is one of the Rousch engined supercharged developement mules, a real 'what could have been'. I would love to get a closer look at it. In fact, if I had the money I would buy it. I would love to know what it drives like too, bt alas I can't afford such a rare piece of prime British beef.

Any PHers out there willing to give it a punt then take me out in it?

Pleeeeeaaasssseee.

You mean Italian Beef of course lol.

Nice cars though, just mismatched to their ideal market as sadly so many British cars tend to be now.

Qvale Mangusta originally I believe.

It's a shame they never did very well.

Anybody know what happened to the one that Rowan Atkinson was running? I remember his reports in Evo, then they just sort of disappeared.

His last report explained how he'd taken a break from writing about it as MGRover had forgotten about it. Once the firm who bought all the remaining stock realised the error it got picked up sharpish and sold. He likened it to an eighties Aston, don't get an early one 'cause they're still in development!

Still love it though.
