Exhaust advice

The original exhaust on my MG ZR 105 was replaced about 2 wks ago due to corrosion. The new exhaust is just a standard (cost £175) and it sounds terrible. There's a weird bronchitis sounding noise everytime I rev so I'm taking it back to the garage to be replaced. I've asked them to replace it with a better exhaust and I'll pay the difference. However, I have to pick the exhaust from their suppliers parts list. Does anyone have any recommendations on what sort of exhaust I should pick? I'd like a sporty exhaust but not one that's gonna cost a bomb.
