Do you need an auto? I think the 260 is only available with a manual gearbox.
Correct-ish. If you want an auto, then you need to find a Rover 75 V8 or one of the small number of auto 260s in Australia!Edited by Platinum on Thursday 20th December 23:39

Hello there.
You'll have to bare with me, new to the game.
Can anyone advise me on a way of upping the BHP on my ZT 180. Looking for around 210, 220BHP?
Dave V6 on X Power Forums may be able to help, he's got a tuned up V6 (albeit in a ZS rather than ZT).You'll have to bare with me, new to the game.

What you really need though is a V8.... with a supercharger.....
Back in the real world, the V6 is a LOT lighter than the V8 and, being FWD, handles differently - a full geometry job on the FWD ZT will give a touring-car type sports setup without too much hassle, and surely it can't be hard to get a nice sound out of the V6??? Alfa V6 engines sound glorious, you just need some decent exhausts. It was the same with the V8s... but with a smaller market we had to get some bespoke jobbies designed for the club.
I'm sure a major manufacturer makes great sounding zorsts for the V6 engine.
Dave V6 will know, but if you're interested in making a bit of a project car then you could always sling a rotrex supercharger in there and play with the ECU. If they can fit a Mustang V8 in the ZT engine bay then there'll be enough room for some extra gubbins in there with the V6
