MG Midget hood
Discussion
If you're fitting to an existing frame and header rail check both are in very good order
I had a frame break one month after having an excellent vinyl (plastic by far the best for everyday use) roof fitted by the manufacturer at their premises and it never fitted as well with the replacement frame
I find it's the fitting more than the hood that is the biggest let down

To be honest they are easy enough to fit themselves. Just take your time. And make sure you get one without the tenax stud holes pre cut, because I guarantee the studs on your car will not match the holes and it is a lot easier to cut the hood than move the studs, for a start you usually end up having to move the studs a few mm either way, and drilling the holes/elongating holes in to slots is a nightmare.
But yes the hood shouldn't be under tension, things should only get tight on the clipping up procedure, if you have to force the hood up it's too tight.
Owners club sells them on header rails which is a very simple way of doing it, not sure what the hood itself is like though.
