Hi just a quick one, I have a load of bits to get shut of, the big lump of which are rubber bumpers, at a guess 3 or so sets of excellent MGB and 3 sets of Midget. Free to collectors from Yorkshire. Bear in mind most specialists sell these for £50 upwards each so may be worth having a spare. You can have 1 bumper or bring a van and take the lot they will be binned if no-one wants them they sell once in a blue moon and I need the space.

Also a rubber bumper front cross member, I think they can be used on chrome cars but you may have to fiddle, also free.

Rear axles also free.

I've got some midge bits that need selling eg. suspension, brakes, interior bits, screens allsorts really I want some cash but were talking beer money here not dealer prices, eg front suspension units complete £5.

It would be a shame to chuck good stuff when it isn't made any more so come and have it away with some!

Collection from Pocklington/skipsea

I could make use of a higher diff in my MGA, not sure what axle type I have or would need it from or indeed what ration I have and want to change to, I want to make it as long legged as possible, am building a 1800 b sereis to drop in with a 5 speeder, thought I would switch to a mgb diff too.

Will see what I can find out.

Your MGA will have a banjo axle as per the early B's, now these axles are tube axles, you can fit one to an early B, have no idea if you could fit one to an A though, I would assume that provided both are the same width they would fit easily. It's one of those things that may be worth a play with a free axle.

It must be remembered though that tube axles are substantially heavier than banjo's, I would say the easiest thing for you to do is look for a higher diff, maybe from one of the saloons or a non overdrive early B, you just need to spend a bit of time doing research in to ratio's, and of course banjo diff's are so easy to swap.

Thanks for that, I think the ratio's I have got listed in the moss catalogues, should be able to work it out, the cogs are whirring, I have an idea my car is 4.3:1 and I want a 3.9:1.

Banjo axle - I'll look for one of those.

Ta.

Don't have any gauges I'd be happy to let go, and pos earth rev counters are pretty rare, you can modify a neg earth though. Or convert the car!

Yep get a list across sure I can help. Also have some B bonnets to move on!

No Carpet sets mate.

Do have an axle, do have gt front and rear (heated) screen. I think green tint but not 100% maybe clear.

Do have some of the other parts too.

Send me an email through PH and we can sort something out.
