A mate's got one which he let me drive. Depends on what you're used to driving. The acceleration was formidable due to the huge torque. The bellhousing is so big it sticks out where your left knee is unfortunately. The handling was ok, but not inspiring and the steering was certainly better than my B, being both lighter and giving more feedback. Brakes were average. The interior never floated my boat and I never took to the looks. my mate's car had intermittant electrical problems and most of the instrumentation didn't work bar the speedo and the tach.
I have a lot of experience with RV8s, importing, servicing etc. They are a modern B and are fantastic if you are coming from an earlier model MG, however if you are coming from say a Porsche/BMW then you won't be pleased. They are mechanically solid but do require regular maintenance. I suggest that you look at http://www.mgrv8.com or http://www.v8register.net
Overall they are an enjoyable car that turns a lot of heads, great touring car but not an out and out raw sports car.
