In 1985 my girlfriend bought a 1975 1500 Midget.

Over the next 5 years or so the car was in daily use and subject to ongoing restoration including a recon enginge and gearbox, rebuilt front suspension, new hood, seats recovered, Hard top, Halogen lamp conversion, new discs and loads of other minor bits.

In 1991 I got my first company car and gave the girlfriend my car to use daily while we took the MG off the road for a full restoration job and the car was stored in the girlfriend's grandmothers garage.

Well, The girlfriend is now the wife and with 3 kids and a mortgage to support you can probably guess how much restoration got done......None.

Sadly at the ripe old age of 101 the wife's gran has passed on today and I need to find a new home for the Midget.

If anyone out there would like to make me an offer for the car in order to return it to running condition I would be a happy man.

We have the V5 and all the receipts for the repairs we had done and parts replaced.
It would be a sad day to scrap it so we would really like to think that the new owner would breath life back into the car.

Heres hoping...

Do you have any pictures?

How much work do you think needs to be done. I have a friend who may be interested, he's done restoration jobs on an MG A and an MG B before, if you post up some pictures I'll send him a link to this thread and let him take it from there.

am not sure how much work is needed.
it was my intension to use a new heritage body shell and do a full concourse job.

the doors are shot and will need replacing/reskinning.

I can't get at the car at the moment but will take some pics and let you have them.
