Fitted the luminetion system to mine (not the basic basic magnetition one), but the next one up courtesy of the MGOC.
Works well. No major snags, although if it's still been absolutely bucketing down for days and has been left out, the damp dizzy cap and leads will still prevent it from starting. I get better economy out of it (a couple of mpg) and can guarantee it'll start in the morning.
Well worth doing - only cost about £100 inc fitting and should make the car easier to sell.

We've got Pertronix units on the '64B (standard car) and the '65B (rally spec engine) and both have performed faultlessly since day one. They're quite good value for money too, imho. I'll be getting one for the V8 too.
I've been looking at the 123 but its biggest advantage is its biggest disadvantage as well: pre-defined maps imply that they won't exactly fit your engine spec if the engine doesn't exactly match the spec it was made for. If it does however, it seems quite good from what I've heard. So they're probably good for standard engines and such... (the '65 has an Aldon modified unit).
I'd also like to hear from people who own one!
