I use Pistonheads for my motors quite extensively and wandered if you can help me???

My bro has been offered the following motor for £7.5k which seems good to me, but you guys (n gals) are the experts...What d'ya think?

04 plate 1.8 160 in red with sport pack, 24k miles, hard top, cd, fogs, 16" wheels etc. Is due a service but all others up to date...1 lady owner...

Would really appreciate your thoughts

Cheers, Mike.

Sounds very reasonable to me, obviously depending on condition of it. Prices will probably start to firm up now that we have had a few days of sunshine, so best try to take advantage of what sounds like a winter priced soft top to me.

That sounds a great deal. My girlfriend purchased an 03 135 last April for £9000 (albeit from a main dealer) with sport pack, alcantara and 16" wheels. A service will cost around £150.

The hard-top would clinch it for me. Those buggers alone cost upwards of £500 second hand. The year is right for the head gasket to be the later version that's less likely to fail too. Which is nice. Check the pipes under the car that head to and fro the rad too - known weak spot.
