Assuming you are the mystery buyer of Peter's blue beast, then I think I can safely say, for the moment at least.... "I've driven it faster than you have"

He kindly let me have a blat up the perimeter road at Dunsfold when we arranged a magazine article comparing it to an M5. Needless to say, at no point did any of us exceed the 30mph they asked us to keep to, but God, have you got a lot of fun to look forward to! laugh

As soon as I find a spare £6k down the back of the sofa, Kermit is heading North of the border to get a blower fitted.

If you haven't already done so, I would definitely suggest that you head over to www.two-sixties.com to join the owners' club. It's free (although you do have to be a member of the MGOC) and we're already up to 150+ owner members, which is pretty outstanding considering only 883 cars were made!

I haven't driven a standard one so I can't compare, but for a practical estate vehicle it's mentalthumbup

The standard one is great fun, but the blower certainly makes a big difference. If we happen to be in the same location at some point, we could always swap for a while!

If you fancy an excuse for a weekend away in it, we're piggy-backing the MG Era day at Brooklands on April 1st to get as many cars in one place as possible. At the moment, it looks like we could well have 18 there, which would be the most we've ever managed in one place.

On the previous day (Saturday 31st) we are looking at taking a few cars along to Vixpy's for a rolling road test in the morning (as the inconvenient sod has a wedding to go to in the afternoon, and won't even let us gatecrash). Getting a blown car on there would be fun to say the least!

I'd love to, but I'm horrendously busy atm. I'll have to see nearer the time. How much is the RR session?

I'll try and sort some this weekend. Peter had some crackers on his ad, but he's removed them now

Not any longer...

We had a bit of fun on an airfield and myself and Bill both took our respective speedos off the clock thumbup

That big old thing handles bloody well for a tank - I can't quite believe it runs about on 225 width tyres! I had great fun all day chasing and leading Bill
