Can anybody tell me what tonneau sticks do? I have a midget which has been off the road for 22 years but is nearly ready for the road again. I have a hood but probably won't use it and am currently looking for a tonneau cover. Are the sticks an essential item? How are they fixed to the cover and the car? Any infor would be much appreciated.

they are good, just enable you to pull the full tonneau down behind the seats to make a neat half tonneau. Or I think they can be used with the quarter tonneau too but no need really.

I have a set for the b and for the midge and while they don't get used very often they are nice to have seeing as during the summer the hoods are never up and the full tonneau is always on.

I think i have a couple of spare sets actually.

not essential, just give you more room underneath the tonneau behind the seats.

I tend not to bother with them to be honest.

Thanks. Good advice. I think I will just look for a decent second hand full tonneau and not worry about the sticks. Although I have a good hood I don't think I will fit it because it is quite heavy and I really want to keep the weight down.
