Rosalyn and I picked up our new baby (silver MGF VVC, R-reg, 39K miles) on saturday, I took my 2 boys out (1 at a time!) for a spin with the top down and along the way we called in at my father-in-laws to let him have a look and point out that yes, he was still on our insurance and welcome to borrow the 'F anytime he could prise the keys out of the hands of whoever had custody... While admiring it from over the road it struck us that something was indefinably, subtly wrong with the stance of the car. Closer examination revealed that a well-meaning previous owner or tyre fitter appeared to have rotated the tyres, swapping the front and rear wheels over and leaving us with 205 section tyres on the front and 185s on the back eek

I can't believe I hadn't noticed that earlier. Ah well, they're the right way round now and A Nice Man from blackcircels.com will be turning up on wednesday to replace the current motley assortment (loads of tread but 3 different manufacturers!) with a nice new set of Toyo T1Rs ready for spring...
