Sprintex produced a supercharger for a while, and MGR Australia actually released it as the ZT220. Unfortunately, I don't think it was ever reliable, and even if it was, a supercharger to deliver 30bhp seems a rather large sledgehammer for a pretty small nut!

Have you thought about trading in the 190 and getting a 260 instead? As well as the additional 70bhp, you also get the joy of rear wheel drive, and if that's not enough, there's even the option of supercharging one of those right up to 400bhp, and you don't even need to make any other changes to the car, as the whole thing can comfortably take 450bhp at standard MGR spec.

Cheers Kermit, The v6 is going into a mgb and I wanted to boost the power a little,as you say 30 bhp is not worth It should go well enough standrad to be honest. The zt260 looks like a great bit of kit alot of car for the money.

It is fun indeed! Especially when bright green!

Dont touch the Sprintex SC's. They are poorly made and WILL blow your engine. There have been 6 ZS's that have been fitted with the SC and one ZT-T. All have blown up and now only one is running properly as it has had some extensive work done to the SC and mapping

Well it would have been but my money disappeared!! (long long story)

Head over to http://forums.xpowerforums.com for loads of info on the KV6 and tuning it.

3 guys run their ZS's in the 13's at pod - Two are still NASP and the other one is the extensively worked on SC ZS.

Unfortunatley the only way to get big power from the KV6 is to add NOS! There is a company working on developing the SC but thats going to cost approx £4-5k.

200bhp is pretty easy to acheive through cams, custom manifolds, filter and full de-catted exhaust system. That set-up would cost approx £2.5k and sees ZS's run very low 14's (and one 13.8) at pod and low to sub 6 second 0-60. Not sure how much your MGB weighs in at? A ZS is only 1200kg's...

May i reply considering im the owner of the zs supercharged..

There a lot of money, but im wondering what sort of management you will be using.

i have had to do extensive mapping to my car, and a few upgrades in the supercharger itself... and now have a reliable car the quickest zs for now anyway.

i took my car to santa pod for my first ever trip there, and bagged a 13.803, with a std exhaust and cat. not bad imo, there is 2 other zs's in the 13's but they are/were high 13's (just scrapped in) and one uses nitrous. the kv6 is reasonably tuneable, im taking it you will have a different exhaust? perhaps you could get some h&s manifolds as they are proven to work i think,

the supercharger route is a very good route to go if you have the money and time, but i would sit it out and see if sprintex market in the uk again etc. after speaking with jay upton (md of sprintex) only a few weeks ago my money is they are, but not sure what price
