You could try Frontline in Bath, but Tim Fenna (the MD) is also involved in the revival of the Healey brand.

Just one warning having been there and done it, its great for a race car due to the fact that when your in the engine bay on a race car you want to be all the way in and have good access, at the expense of speed of access, but for a road car they are a bit of a pain.

3 options to fit them:

1: hinge from the back on the original hinges, next to no access and it will drop on you more than once when checking oil etc.

2: hinge from front, harder to do but better access, still not ideal but much better.

3: no hinging just pinned down so remove as a total unit, easy, but total pain by side of road if its broken down!

Also remember you will have to make a wiring harness for the front end for lights etc with a quick release plug so you can remove it as an entire unit, you will forget a couple of times and rip the wires out, usually in the dark miles from home.

It will flap, squeak and shake and rattle no matter how well you pin it, and they don't look right either, too smooth, again great on track not ideal for road.

Its only slightly lighter than seperate fibreglass wings, bonnet and original nosecone, in fact some i've come across have been far heavier.

I learnt from experience to stick with seprate f/glass panels as with proper fitting no one can tell, and they have all the weight/anti rust benefits of a flip front without the negatives.

try honey bourne mouldings tel 01789774603 lovely people wo couldnt be more helpful, great service and panels. I've just bought a front and rear for my frogeye race car from them.

hinge it at the front using a peter may hinge assy, 20 quid ish and pin at the rear. I use a caravan/trailer light connector in place of the old naff bullet connectors which always give bad connections.

I was wondering does anyone know anyone would buy a full fibreglass front for an MG Midget. Fibreglass section includes:

bonnet
bumper
wings and arches

Its my dad's and we will never use it as we dont have one.

Another vote for Honeybourne mouldings

And another vote for separate wings and bonnet

I have Honeybourne's wings on my Midget and a cheapo bonnet a mate found for me

A little filling and smoothing on the wings before fitting and I have been constantly amazed it how many people think they are steel. Honeybourne's work is brilliant... Mine isnt and no amount of refettling can repair the "already damaged" gel coat on the bonnet though.

I'm a bonnet off and ditch by the side of the road if necessary type of worker..

Dont tread on it
Dont forget to pop it back on!

Can anyone tell me the best way to fit a 1 piece fibre glass front to my MG Midget. Would like to hinge it from the front, from the toeing bars ?. Also do i have to cut the flange on the inner wheel arch for it to fit ? Any info would be greatfully recieved. Thanks

How to fit a one piece bonnet? Set aside a huge amount of time for fettling the thing to fit properly, it took me ages. I got mine from Peter May and used his hinge for the front.

As mentioned earlier, they do rattle but there a lot you can do to minimise it quite a lot. Just large amounts of patience required im afraid, like al fibreglass mouldings, they arent the same shape as the original panels, not matter what the manufactures tell you.

I didnt have to modify the inner arches or anything alse for that matter.
