I'm looking for some new tyres and everyone seems to rave about the Eagle F1's, however looking at mytyres and blackcircles I don't think they're available as 205/45/R17 (car has 17" Factory straights).

The closest I've found is 205/40/R17.

What issues, etc would there be running 205/40/R17 instead of 205/45/R17?

Can anyone suggest a better alternative to the F1's?

hey, i'd recommend toyo proxes personally, i've had them on the zr for a while now (on aftermarket wheels mind you)

have a gander at www.montyswheelsandtyres.com - i got a cracking deal from them, then just fitted them

F1s good in that size. Slightly lower profil looked cool too. Damn good tyres. Got 'em on our 'charged MX5 and Tiv too.
