It is certainly possible, and should cost around £1,700 to get converted. There is at least one 260 owner on the Xpower V8 forum who has already had his converted, and is very pleased with the results.
The main downside is that you have to put the tank in the boot, as we've already got the rear diff where the spare wheel would go, which is the usual alternative!
