Fan Keeps going.
Discussion
I don't know how the fan is controlled on that car, but from what you've said my guess is that it is controlled by the ECU. It would make sense for the ECU to run the fan when it see an excessive coolant temperature, so one possible explanation is that the coolant temp sender has failed or there is a wiring fault. Most coolant temp senders are a simple thermister with a resistance that goes down as the temperature goes up. It could be that the thermister has failed, or there is a short in the wiring to it. If that was the case you might also find that the engine runs very rich and gives very poor economy. Ring any bells?
Most modern cars do this, any Alfa Romeo or Peugeot owners will testify to this, Don't worry, I would think its probably normal, quite often its due to the temp sender being in the top of the head and the hot water rising when the engines switched off, other times its a built in program to the ecu to run the fan for about 2-3 mins after every switch off.
