Speedo cable location

Morning all

Was wondering if anyone may have any photos or can tell me the route the speedo cable takes from the speedo to the gearbox. Boyfriend has never had a speedo cable on it and is going to be putting the car on the road this year but doesnt have a clue where it goes as the car has never had one.

Any help appreciated.

Hi Donna,
You don't say which MG your boy friend has so it will vary!
Try www.2mgcars.org.uk and go into the Forum that covers your car and I'm sure you will get your answer.

Try www.mgcars.org.uk - just tried and it opens OK

Alternatively phone the MGOC technical help number, or log on to their website and send an e-mail.
My wife has always found them quick to respond.
If you or your boyfriend are not members of either the MGOC or the MGCC, then I advise that you join at the earliest opportunity.
The techncial support and access to advice for members of both clubs is very good.
