MGA - putting 1500 tail lights on a 1600 ?

Afternoon All,

Quick question, as the title suggests. Has anybody replaced the larger and later model tails lights with the smaller 1500 ones or does it require changing the rear wings?

The rear wings on the 1600 have extra holes, you'd need new plinths obviously but the other issue is that the wiring is different.
