MGF fuel pump assembly mk1 vs mk2

Hello All

I have connector issue with the fuel pump assembly with my Caterham 21 which uses the uniut from the MGF Mk1 circa 1996.

From the reserach I have made the MK2 assembly looks similar to the MK1 unit appart from the connector.

I can change the connector on my loom.

My question is apart from the connector are they interchangeable?
