Steering wheel help please
Discussion
Hi All
I have just purchased a 1966 MGB GT here in Portugal. Car is immaculate and no rust!!
Sadly the original banjo steering wheel is too big at 16.5 inches for my fat thigh to fit between the wheel and the central tunnel.
Can anybody advise on an aftermarket replacement?
It looks like 14 or 15 inches would be a good compromise between gaining more room and still being able to manage the non assisted steering.
I don't like the wooden ones do I guess a leather and stainless would be best. I would like the new wheel to be sympathetic to the very original interior.
Are their any smaller banjo types available
Ideally I would like the exchange of wheel to be as painless as possible because I am no mechanic!!
Thanks in advance for any advice people can offer.
