MGB GT Fuel Pump - HELP REQUIRED!!
Discussion
Hey guys,
As the restoration of my '72 MGB GT continues my dad and I have hit a snag.
When turning on the ignition, the fuel pump didn't start ticking, we took it off and connected it directly to the battery which, when using a multi-meter it measures 12.6 V and the fuel pump started to run nicely.
We then checked the voltage at the connectors at the rear of the car where the fuel pump sits and they read at 11.7 V but when connecting the fuel pump to the connectors there was nothing. We refreshed the connectors while we were at it.
With everything working, it has completely baffled the both of us and made us wonder if anybody could help us out.
Its a basic electric FuelFlow pump. Recently fitted according to the paperwork that came with the car.
Thanks,
Jim
