My 1972 MGB GT Restoration
Discussion
Hey Guys,
I purchased a 1972 MGB as a first car and I am midway through the full restoration.
Then my dad and myself started stripping the paint.
I investigated the fuel pump which isn't working and wondered if anyone on here could give any suggestions,
Thanks for reading and can't wait to hear back,
Jim

I'd test that pump has power and a good earth, even remove it and bench test it to confirm it is the pump at fault. If it is then it doesn't appear there's much you can do to that pump.
If you do need to replace the pump, that one is not the original, it should have an SU pump mounted in the bracket at the top of the first picture. If you wanted to go back to that pump they are available new from Burlen. You would also need to replace the feed pipe from the tank as yours has been cut and the flexible section which joins the pipe under the floor.
Good luck with the project.
