News on MG-Rover

I've heard that the Russians and Iranians have stated that they are not interested in Rover.

SIAC (the chinese) may be interested in retaining some facilities, mainly design, development and testing, in the UK as the knowledge base will help them establish their production facilities. Possibly this will save a thousand jobs, at least in the medium term.

No news yet on MG??????

I heard a rumour of some American money men looking at taking the MG brand and using it to build sports cars for the USA. TF based initially, but with a range to follow, and possibly even the RWD version of the 75 chassis. Aparently it was in a magazine somewhere?
