ok here we go again. 'DO ROVER MG CAR OWNERS LOSE VALUE ON THERE CARS'????
I don't suppose the depreciation will be any greater than before.
Possibly except for the very new, which may lose the benefit of warranty. I suppose the loss though, is insignificant compared to the pain for poor buggers looking for a job.

agree...
Would be the right time to buy one of the remaining new ones, I'm bloody sure the dealer want's to sell the rest of the stock as fast as possible.
About the depreciation, IMO some people will loose interest in the car, other, who wanted one, will be forced to look at the 2nd hand market.
As for MG's I think the situation will balance itself more or less (take a look at the vintage cars).
As for Rover's however, ... I'm not so sure.
I don't think any business will be foolish enough to buy MG or Rover name at this time and take their liability, and we all know ¡§Rover¡¨ name were totally ruined (thanks India City Rover Tata). But I bet someone will build their car with MG name plate on it after MG Rover disappeared for a while, just like how VW build their super car under Bugatti plate.
As mentioned, overall MG wasn't doing so bad.
It where the Rover cars that didn't want to sell.
MG adresses an Entrylevel sportscar segment, while TVR looks at the top end, both of them would complement each other quite nicely ... IMO.
Personally I like the idea. (As I like both cars.)

Tony Lomas, one of the PricewaterhouseCoopers administrators, said the first potential buyer for MG, the brand, and MGTF, the sports car, is to start due diligence work next week.
