After a minor bout of engine hesitation last night I decided to book my ZT T 190 in for its 45k service about 400 miles early, and they've diagnosed its first ever fault - a pair of malfunctioning induction vacuum ramp valves or something like that(? wasn't paying to much attention.) Its an hour to fix as part of the service.

I'm not too unhappy though. The service from the dealer (Luffield Derby) was first class and the diagnosis was done in 15 minutes whilst they gave me coffee and showed me their nice new V8!!
Gets done tomorrow morning.

Compared to my experience of BMW and Volvo (both for product reliability and dealer service) the ZT is proving t be fantastic.
Still, it's a pity it's blotted its copy book, even if the fault was barely noticeable to me!
So I'm driving around in the TVR tomorrow instead!

Seems to be a common fault - ours were replaced at the 24k service, as they were stuck open. It caused a significant lack of power below 3500rpm

All fixed.
Car perfect. 45k service performed with no problems -
£170 quid including VAT. The broken bits (replaced under warranty) were at the reception for me to inspect.I had not requested this, but it's nice anyway.
They had washed it, and they even called me at exactly the time (to the minute!) that they said they would to let me know the car was ready for collection.

All this froma young team (the service manager looks to be in his late twenties) . MORE DEALERS LIKE THIS PLEASE!

Ah, thats a bit far for us to use. Got no real grumbles about Gordon Lambs in Sheffield, but they didn't clean the car at the last service, and it was £280 (24k service I think), which seemed rather steep to me.

I used to use Gordon Lamb in Chesterfield for the wifes Toyota. Bloomin expensive and not very good at actually fixing things, sadly.
Still, they gave the kids some nice cuddly toys!
