Hi all after a bit of advise please.

I have a '71 BGT and I'm working through a few jobs to smarten it up. The front bumper is quite heavily pitted and I'd like to improve its appearance once again. Is this polishable or is it road rash? Badly taken photos attached. There were a few bits of 'rust like' patches which came off fairly easily when I washed it.

Difficult to tell from a photograph but I use Autosol on chromework - it is worth having a good try with it, but if the pitting is too deep, then re chrome or replace is the only real option.

Looks pretty deep to me. I'd be looking at rechroming it personally, or replacing if cheaper.

Thanks both, I've polished it up a bit but the pitting does look like it goes deep. Maybe rechroming is the way forward then.
