For around £100 is it worth fitting a K&N Cold air induction kit to an MGF 1.8i ?
A number of reports in other postings suggest an improvement of around 7-8 BHP, a definite torque improvement and perhaps a few more mpg.(the latter not guaranteed)
What maybe a downer is the "noise" generated by the kit, I'm told a perceptible roar from it which would be just behind the passengers head, not presumably too bad with a hardtop on but the summer - ?
Any owners fitted one ?
Experiences would be appreciated.

A lot of the members in MGOC Austria have K&N 5-something fittet instead of the original one.

You can't really tell the performance gain, most people have it for the sound. (Sound much better then a sports exhaust.)
