Finally getting round to moving on my beloved BMW which, sadly, is starting to show its age.
Thinking of getting myself into a ZT & have seen a couple that I like the look of.
Thing is this - which is the better car?
A 2.5 V6 or a 1.8Turbo?
Never having owned a turbo engined car before, or even considered one, I don't know what to look for when it comes to checking one over before I buy.
I need a reliable car as my job will involve a lot of long distance driving between venues so need something relatively easy to drive.
Also what are the values like as the cars i have seen, which are fairly similar in age, mileage & spec appear to be miles apart in price.
Any help greatly appreciated as are any recommendations as to particular cars & reputable dealers.

There should be a few threads comparing the two, an excellent buyers guide and it is also the best place to find well cared for examples.
Very pleased with my second 190 - one of the rare SE's which have all the extras available. 1.8T has the edge on economy (say +5mpg) and agility, 190's sound much nicer and tend to be higher speced. 190 slightly faster as standard if you use the revs, 1.8T better mid range and slightly higher top gear. Both can be remapped to a little over 200bhp.
Rather than rule out one or the other, I'd consider the merits of individual cars on condition, history and spec.
