Hello all,

Has anyone tried the flush fit front to the sebring front valance and if so how did you space yours off?

Are you supposed to blend in the back with the body line too?

also I have ordered the lowering blocks for the rear and lower front springs to get this ugly duckling to the right height. Is there an easy was to change the front springs.

I'm currently building a Sebring replica (see pic in profile). I've made the rear valence flush with rear panel and blended it in to the new f'glass rear wings but it took ages to get it look right, I can send you some pics of the rear if you're interested. As for the front, I haven't yet decided whether to blend it in or not - I suspect not because I quite fancy having it sprayed bright yellow (like the originals) to contrast the BRG of the car.

Peter Hi,

Your wheels look ace! If you can I would appreciate how your lower quarters blend in if thats ok.

Was yours a RB?

Justin,

Rear should be blended in, front is up to you. I believe it wasn't blended in on the works racing cars, but a friend of mine blended his Sebring front valence in.
To be honest, it doesn't really look 'right' too me, it's a bit too smooth. I'll try to dig up a picture tonight (drop me a line if I don't post it soon enough )

Just had a look, I don't seem to have a picture of his car.
I'll see what I can come up with...

Hi Boxbush,

Your Sebring looks great! I was just wondering what width are your wheels? They must be pretty wide as they fill the arches and then some

Hi OSR - The wheels are splined Minilites 10.5" x 15". The biggest problem is finding tyres to suit so I have to mix & match whatever I can get hold of. Currently 265/50 x 15 Cooper Cobra on the rear and 285/40 x 15 Yoki's on the front.

To be honest the fronts are a bit too wide for comfort (no PAS) with loads of bump-steer and tramlining.

It's difficult to estimate the total cost as I deliberately didn't keep any receipts (If I had kept a record I probably would have panicked - ignorance is bliss nuts).

I guess in terms of parts it would be about six grand, but this makes no allowance for the labour cost (it took five years of spare evenings and weekends). I did everything myself except the electrics which were done gratis by Twin Plenum (thanks Mike), and the respray which was the most expensive single item.

Any chance that you could post some more pics of you car? It does really look stunning.

Just some words of advice.

The sebring valences aren't desgined to be smoothed in (especially the front one) and at the risk of offending people I think they look terrible when smoothed in, the rear doesn't look too bad, as it looks out of place if not smoothed in but the front looks awful if smoothed in.

Does anyone currently own the OLO 990E car featured above?

I'm quite interested in knowing about it....

Hi Guys

Where can I get a metal front valance or the vents to rivet into my current one, building an FIA spec replica racers and really want a metal valance rather than fiberglass.
Any help would be great.
Thanks

There was a chap at the last Stoneleigh MG show. He had hand rolled "english wheeled" some alloy valances. I doubt you would get steel versions. (I do sell a tool to make them, see profile).
