Today I spent a fabulous afternoon thrashing my ZT-T across the Derbyshire Peak district. I found some nice, deserted camera free roads and really tried to find out what it could do..
The verdict? Absobloodylootly fantastic!
I have the full MG sport suspension set up and it works incredibly well. No pitch, no heave, no float, despite some dreadfull tarmac topography, fab turn in, great feel and control - and all this in an estate car!
I know as the owner I'm biased, but I'm truly impressed by this chassis. The BMW 330ci driver I had with me in the passenger seat was dumbstruck too.
If the new 45/ZS replacement is even half as good as this then it's gonna be a winner.

(Now donning flameproof suit and awaiting atack from the usual gaggle of MGR knockers and the doubting Thomas brigade.)

All doubts about the ZT last till the first fast corner, after that people tend to shut up....

You are right!

My BMW driving pal reckons it's as quick as his 330ci across country. (despite having a smaller engine and less power)
I don't know if he's right about that, but I do know that the grip, handling and feel are fantastic.

And despite my thrashing it, I've still got no squeeks or rattles from the trim (but the brakes were steaming a bit!)

Yeah I boiled my brake fluid once... That was a novel situation....
I'd say cross country the ZT is one of the fastest car's I've ever driven. Just goes to show that horsepower is not everything...!

Then you can add 2 extra cylinders, some horsepower, and rear wheel drive and have a fantastic drive, all you need is your own personal fuel tanker following you!

Mine was fine while running in averaging 26mpg, once run in it has suddenly gone to 11mpg and I just can't figure out why but I'm having fun ... wonder if the 75mm throttle body had anything to do with it????
