Hi all,

My dad has just had his red 1969 MGC Roadster stolen from on the street in Clapham in London.

Reg - YGC 766G

Could you please let me know if there are any sightings of it (fletcherson@gmail.com) - he's had the car for over 40 years, so as you can image its like losing a member of the family!

I've included a link below with a couple of photos.

Many thanks in advance for any help.

Best regards,
Leo

This is the second valuable MG stolen from London in a short space of time.

That nice '66 GT was the first.

Bit worrying.

Shaun,
I think a photo in addition to the hyperlink to photos would be best in your opening post

have you also posted on other web sites including stolen classic web site, you want to get the news around as quick and wide as possible - http://www.stolenclassics.co.uk/board/

I hope he gets it back as soon as possible

I noticed this on the MGOC twitter feed. Hopefully the Met will get the feckers.
Best wishes to the OP's dad.

For reference, a few additional features of the car:

Chassis Number: GCN1490
Mini lite wheels
Custom built radio where the speaker would have been, which accommodates an i-phone.
Chrome rocker cover.
American inlet manifold
6 branch exhaust, Zircotec heat treated in white

If the 2 thefts are related then sadly it appears more likely to be a stolen to order situation, most likely going out abroad, but if not and it's coincidence and the cars have been stolen to break for parts the US spec inlet manifold would make that engine very recognisable.
