Flat plane RV8

Have any of the MG RV8 flat plane race engines managed to last a season? I've seen they're quick but do they last? What max RPM are they running?

Most run a 3.9 engine in MGCC, or a 5.0 depending in modsports etc
on class , the V8 only really let go at high revs and not being caring in running in.
I've seen racers come with a all singing V8 and wipe it out in minutes by aggressive gear change at high rpm .

Chormy - Just to clarify, are you referring specifically to the flat plane engines? Does anyone know what they're revving to.

Some of the flat plane lads rev to 8k! I believe that most of the engine failures are down to oil pump probs... Generally bottom end lack of oil causing probs or oil pumps failing. Not all bcv8 cars are flat plane either, only 2 or 3 I thought? Most are std style cranks.
