Morning All

As a start to getting the BGT back on road ( a bit late, especially considering it was taxed all winter) I decided to replace the brakes and take the opportunity to upgrade them at the same time. I've fitted replacement calipers with stainless pistons, green stuff pads and grooved and slotted discs.

All seems to go together correctly, although I was surprised how hard it was to insert the pads. The problem is that even without the pads in place the discs cannot spin freely, requiring some effort across the wheel studs to turn. The whole system seemed to only be able to assemble one way, so is there anything else I have done wrong?

Thanks

Todd

there isnt much you can do wrong with the brakes on a B. caliper will only go on 1 way and pads the same. Have you checked the hub is back in the correct place and you haven't overtightened the bearing?

Thanks for the quick response and confirming that it is very difficult to mess the job up. Comparing the original discs to the New ones I think somehow I've ended up with a pair of V8 discs.
Still it's all good practice.

Turns out when I father collected the discs he had the right ones, then was offered some which didn't have box. Which was fine as the box isn't useful, however...
