ho guys i have just bought a set of polybushes for the anti rollbar drop link these are sopposed to be easy to fit i hve been working on cars for 50years but these !!!!!!! will not fit any ideas please have tried soap and water as suggested by them and also tried sockets and a length of screwed rod . help.

if you have a vice, push the bushes in first, grease them up inside and press the steel insert through the bush. usually easy in a vice but they can be a pain. MGB top front trunion bushes are a similar affair and that's the way I do those. smile

failing that, maybe get someone who has done a few of these to do them for you?

hi jimbo thanks for suggestion but steel inserts factory fitted and bonded i think thats the problem

oh, so the problem is getting the old bushes out or the poly bushes have been supplied as 1 piece?

only answer is much cursing, a big hammer and brute force smile

I take it you've tried it in a vice with a socket?

hi jimbob yep tried vice socket and just about everything thats worked for me in past i have a friend who runs a garage going to try him in morning.Thanks for help.

in that case what you could try is put a jubilee clip around the outer edge and tighten it up to crush it down then try pressing it into the link, gives it a sort of lead. had to do that yesterday morning on a citroen relay wishbone bush. might work for you smile

Send the back and buy 2 piece bushes from Powerflex, Much easier!!
