Hi All

I'm gradually working through the service items plus a few other bits and bobs I want to get right. I've got the propshaft out and are half way through fitting the new UJ's. The old ones are proving a bit of a Mare to get out on the Diff end. The circlips all snapped off in situ!

Anyway.

I noticed last night when I managed to get it on a flat surface, that it has a little bit of a lean to one side. Its hard to see exactly but it looks like it is slightly low rear near side and as a result high front off side.

All looks well at the rear from the underside. Not sure at the front at the minute as I haven't got that far. Lost interest due to sunshine and larger biggrin

I will be back at it tonight. Do these symtoms sound familure to anyone? Any advise as always would be appreciated.

Cheers Karl.

sound familiar, yes

measure from centre of hub cap to underside lip of wheel arch on each wheel, note these measurements

never expect any measurement taken on any part of the car to match its mirror exactly

you could also measure from the sills (not seam) to ground and bottom of rear of door to ground

there were some slight variances on the different year Midget 1500 but nothing to think about 30 years later in regard to this

then you can here and/or post or look for the subject in the Archives on the MG BBS Midget and Sprite threads but bear in mind you're looking to compare with 'r/b' (Midget 1500) as the chrome bumper cars are lower
