Hi guys, currenly researching trying to recreate one of the first cars I ever had aged 18, an '84 MK1 MG Metro Turbo! Current thinking is using a Rover 100 with a 170bhp 1.8VVC K-series, and MK1 MG Metro Turbo wings, front, tailgate and bodykit grafted on to make it look externally fairly stock like my old car. But with a stripped interior, full rollcage etc. as my hobby is sprinting so it would need to earn its keep. I have been informed it is do-able in theory, the shells being nigh on identical and the panel swap fairly straightforward, but has anyone got any first hand advice?

Thanks, Lee

MGSteve

No experience myself, but the chaps over on MetroPower may be able to offer some advice.

Panels at the rear should swap straight over. The front might be more involved, the a-series cars are shorter at the front end than k-series cars so the front wings would need to be made longer.
