I'd like to remove the air-con from my MG ZR 160 trackday car - to shave a bit of weight off the front and maybe save a little drag on the engine.

Removing the pump and pipework will be simple enough but what do I need to do to convert the aux drive belt to non-aircon spec?

Some pics would be appreciated as I've tried searching but no luck. Thanks.

i'm pretty sure that all you have to change is the bracket that holds the aircon pump and alternator to a non air con one. I might have one actually, I'll check tomorrow.

Obviously you'll have to get a belt for a non air con model smile

That sounds as simple as could be - happy to exchange some squids for your bracket if you think its right.
