As the old B is undergoing a full body resto; I'm considering going the semi-Sebring route.
Just front & rear valances (no bulging wings or large offset alloys).

But part of me thinks keeping it original as its C/B & wire wheels would be best.

What do you folks think?

I'm having similar thoughts and have stumped for the valances, but mine is a r/b that needs some sorting. If I had wires etc. I would stay original.

Thanks folks.

Just to clarify, it'll retain the wire wheels - just thinking of Sebring valances alone & no bumpers at all.

I have the bumpers off now ready for body resto to commence & it looks rather nice.

I'm putting new fibreglass front wings on anyway, originality for sake of value is not a priority for me. Less to rust is more important smile

It can be a fully reversible process on a c/b (I'm led to believe) as long as your happy with some exposed fasteners and joint lines. I've seen a blog of a car with sebring valances and retained chrome bumpers at some point I'm sure...

I don't have overiders on red one yet.
The green has a alloy works valanace. For me the Sebring looks good on the wider arched cars for standard wings it spoils the car somewhat unless you intend to make look like a race car.

Get the car lowered whih os straight foward and improves the car and makes it look more purposful.

Thanks all.

Chormy, I much appreciate your reply and photos.
Your post has made my mind up and I completely agree with you that the valances look best with the flared arch wings fitted.

However, I know what it is that I don't like now ..... overrider's!

I'm going to keep chrome bumpers and use some chrome, dome headed bolts to blank off the holes (as used with the mountings). I may keep them on the rear only as they serve a purpose with the number plate lights but the front looks much better without them.

Two lovely B's you have there! smile
